Description: Come spend your lunch time in downtown Meriden listening to fabulous music. This summertime concert series is the best way to spend your mid-day. Area restaurants will have quick lunches or you may bring your own. This event is FREE OF CHARGE!

Description: Castle Craig Players present the musical 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee featuring local high school/college students. Come enjoy this popular comedic Broadway musical. Performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm on July 23rd, 24th, 30th, 31st, Aug. 6th & 7th and on Sundays at 2:00pm on July 25th & Aug. 1st.

 Masonicare Summer Concert Series "Eddie Foreman Orchestra"

At Masonic Health Center (Grounds)

Description: Masonicare FREE Summer Concert Series will be held on the grounds every Thursday evening through July and August. For Polish Music Lovers, this evenings entertainment will be provided by the "Eddie Foreman Orchestra". Area residents are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy wonderful musical performances. In addition to free parking on site, the grounds will be available for picnics from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

 The Great Connecticut Traditional Jazz Festival

Description: There will be continuous music in 4 venues indoors and outdoor, fun for the family, including the hotel pool for the kids, dance lessons, and dancing in all 4 venues. There will be a variety of food and drinks. Few of the bands are: Cornet Chop Suey, Blue Street, Midiri Brothers, Sarah Spencer, Triple Play, and String of Pearls. AT GATE: $95/weekend pass, $45/session, $60/all day Saturday, Children $6 BEFORE JULY 24: $90/weekend, $40/session, $50/all day Saturday SPECIAL SPONSOR: Be a Jazz Angel $160/3-day pass, special seating Friday 4pm-11:30pm, Saturday 11am-5pm and 6pm-12:30am, Sunday 9am-5pm. There will be an one hour gospel service on Sunday morning at 9am with Rev. Josh Crowell.

Description: The Chamber Ambassadors are the Membership Committee. It is an organization of Chamber members who serve existing and new members of the Chamber.

The Ambassadors have traditionally had the role of retaining and increasing membership of the Chamber, and in recent years have been developing a network for welcoming new businesses to the area and thanking businesses that continue their membership on an annual basis.

The Ambassadors Membership Committee meets at 8:30 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month.

Description: This wonderful event is a national event that will take place Tuesday August 3rd, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.. The event will take place in City Park. What we are looking for is for your organization to set up a display table showing the cities youth what you can offer them. Last year we had over two thousand people at the event and everyone had a wonderful time. Please make every effort to participate. I hope to hear from you soon.
