09/07/2011 BUSINESS UPDATES

DRS ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL STORM FILING AND PAYMENT EXTENSIONS - State Extensions Intended to Mirror Certain Federal Extensions - Click here for details.

GOV. MALLOY ANNOUNCES FEMA DISASTER RECOVERY CENTERS OPEN ACROSS STATE - Centers will assist individuals and business owners who have been affected by Tropical Storm Irene.

U.S. SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION issues FACT SHEET re: DISASTER LOANS in CONNECTICUT Declaration #12797 & #12798 (Disaster: CT-00024)

09/06/2011 BUSINESS UPDATES:

You can click on www.disasterassistance.gov to register for disaster assistance.  You MUST register within 60 days of August 27, 2011 to be able to make a claim for losses incurred fron Tropical Storm Irene.  The Disaster Number for the State of Connecticut is 4023.  Please let us know if you need any help getting your claim processed.

• TAXPAYER FILING DEADLINES FURTHER EXTENDED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 13 TO FILE and PAY

• REVISED NOTICE: DRS Extends Filing Deadline for Some Taxes.  This is a REVISED notice BUT PLEASE READ THE 08/31/2011 NOTICE ABOVE.

08/29/2011 BUSINESS UPDATES:

• Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) Commissioner Catherine Smith today announced a comprehensive business assistance program to help companies negatively impacted by Hurricane Irene.
