The Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce, founded in Meriden Connecticut in 1896, is an independent, private, not for profit membership service organization providing 112 years of service to the greater Meriden community. We are more than 690 members strong and growing and invite every business in the area to join the Chamber.
Meet the Chamber Staff
Séan W. Moore, Chamber President, joined the Chamber in 1998 after a 20-year career in banking. Séan has led the Chamber in its growth from 325 to over 665 members. Since 1990, Séan has also been the "silent partner" in a hair salon, Kelli's A Salon, on the East side of Meriden. Séan lives in Meriden with his wife, Kelley, and his two daughters. Séan has played guitar and keyboards for more than 40 years. He enjoys songwriting and he irregularly performs with an acoustical musical trio. In May of 2004, Séan was recognized by his peers with the award of Chamber Executive of the Year by the CT Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. This award is shared with the staff and the entire membership which creates a vibrant chamber.
Séan currently serves on the following boards and commissions:
Rosanne P. Ford, Vice President of Membership Services, has been with the Chamber since 2001 after enjoying successful careers in the hospitality, tourism and insurance industries. She graduated from the University of New Haven with a BS degree in Hotel / Restaurant Management. In 2005, Rosanne was promoted to her current position of Vice President. In 2006, Rosanne was recognized with the prestigious Charlotte Marshall Prothero Staff Award from the CT Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. Rosanne is currently in her third year of a four year Chamber executive leadership program at the Institute of Organizational Management at Villanova University in Philadelphia, PA. Her hobbies include calligraphy and anything Red Sox. Rosanne, born and raised in Meriden still resides in Meriden with her husband Darren and her 2 cats, Stanley & Crusher.
Rosanne currently serves or has recently served with the following organizations:
Chip Geriak, Membership Services Representative, came to the Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce in 2004 after a distinguished career of 25 years in the military as a Sargeant 1st Class with numerous awards and decorations. Chip attended Norwalk Community College, graduated from the University of North Texas and had previously been a self employed in the food service industry. Chip is an avid sports fan with a deep commitment to the Yankees. Chip is married to the love of his life, Lynn.
Chip currently serves or has recently served with the following organizations:
Darlene Belanger, Office Assistant, joined the Chamber in early 2007. Darlene has an Associate Degree in Business Management from Quinnipiac College (now Quinnipiac University). She is a life long resident of Meriden. She is married to Bruce Belanger and they have 2 children. Both Bruce and Darlene are very involved in the Meriden Franco American Club. In her spare time, she enjoys quilting, cross stitch, knitting, boating and fishing.
Darlene has been a bookkeeper for over 20 years working with Meriden F.A. Federal Credit Union as Assistant Manager, Treasurer/General Manager of the Meriden Franco American Club, Financial Secretary of the House Committee, Bookkeeper for Larry’s Land Clearing LLC and Office Manager for GRB Tree Cutters. Darlene also keeps records for other private individuals.
